C.A.R.I. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) animal rescue comprised entirely of 100% volunteers. Our organization is dedicated to saving the lives of dogs and cats who are facing euthanasia in Morgan County’s animal control facility. Every year, as we strive to meet our purpose new ideas are added to our short-term and long-term goals. However, our mission will always remain the same: rescuing and dramatically improving the lives of the unwanted, neglected and abused animals in this county.
With a never ending supply of unwanted puppies and kittens enduing up at Animal Control, Companion Animal Rescue, Inc. wanted to do something proactive instead of simply talking about what needs to be done to stop the animal over-population. C.A.R.I. purchased the startup of this county’s Animal Control low-cost spay/neuter program. C.A.R.I. purchased the anesthesia equipment, autoclave, surgical instruments, and continues to donate vaccines. This program is unique in that neither financial status nor the county of residence is a qualifying factor for participation in this program.
